
Nonito Donaire Biography : Nonito Donaire is a Professiona Filipino Boxer. He was born on 16 November 1982. He won the WBC bantamweight title in May 2021 and multiple world championships in 4 weight classes, from featherweight to flyweight. As a bantamweight world champion, he is the oldest boxer in boxing history. In the decades of the 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s, he was world champion and the sixth boxer to do so after Manny Pacquiao, Evander Holyfield, Bernard Hopkins, Floyd Mayweathet Jr, and Erik Morales.
By the main 4 boxing sanctioning bodies, Donaire has held 9 world titles in total the WBA interim super flyweight title, the IBO flyweight title, and the Ring Magazine and lineal super bantamweight titles. Donaire is ranked as the world’s 2nd best active bantamweight by the ring, BoxRec, and ESPN.
He is popularly known as “The Filipino” for his punching power and fast hand speed. In 2007 and 2011, he was a two-time winner of the rings knockout of the year award. He was named Flighter of the year in 2012. He is among a few Asian boxers to win world titles in at least 4 weight classes and fellow Filipinos Donnie Nietes and Manny Pacquiao.

Donaire was born in Bohol, Philippines. His father’s name is Nonito C. Donaire Sr. He is the third of four children. His older brother Glenn Donaire is a former boxer and his cousin Richard Donaire is a former boxer.
His father was a professional amateur boxer who competed in the U.S. in the 1990s.
